Dwayne Holton, Jr.

“On these trips I have learned lessons about my heritage and many other things I didn't know and would not know if it wasn't for Operation PEACE.”

My name is Dwayne Lenoris Holton Jr. My friends call me “Hands” because my hands are so soft. I am a student at Intown Academy where Math is my favorite subject. I have to say it is pretty boring there because they don't have any type of sports teams. I love sports and play both basketball and football and I also like track.

I plan to attend college at Oklahoma State University and would like to play football while I'm there. My Dad went to Florida State University, but he got kicked out for bad behavior. Hearing about his story has taught me that in order to do good I got to stay out of trouble and behave the way I am suppose to. Now, back to my life, I plan on going to the NFL (National Football League). I have 2 cousins playing college football and one cousin in the pro league. If going to the NFL doesn't work out I plan to major in mechanical engineering and make that my profession.

I have been in Operation PEACE afterschool program and summer camp since I was five years old. We have gone on several interesting trips while I have been attending the program. Some of the places we have been include Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, and Virginia. On these trips I have learned lessons about my heritage and many other things I didn't know and would not know if it wasn't for Operation PEACE. I am looking forward to this summer.
